Dusty. And rundown. That would be the
adjectives for my first impressions on Dhaka. But it’s also - familiar.
It’s like what I felt when we were in Aceh - like being in some area of
home.
Rickshaws- that would be the image I will have for Dhaka.

Cheesy Love Poems 1

January 8th, 2008 by taraki

I do make these kinds of stuff. I even made a whole booklet with one
guy as an inspiration. I compiled all the cheesy stuff I made, did some
effort to deliver the stuff to him (I never really knew if he got it),
then disappeared from his life ( I think we both disappeared from each
other’s life - but it’s not as if we had some sort of connection). He

Where Treasures Lay

October 24th, 2005 by taraki

P102405_tiaong_girls_3_1 There are beautiful things

where there are old houses

and old wooden chests….

Not of hard stones, or shimmering metals.

It is the beautiful, found and unfolded

and held in the hands.

Seven Months Ago

October 4th, 2005 by taraki

100_9723I still remember the colors
Of seven months ago.

The dance was like
A flowing
of rainbows.

Swirling, you were
A wonderful addition
To my palette.
And I welcomed you
Into the painting
Of my life.

It was to become
A picture
In the making
Not yet beautiful
But the colors have become
Yours and Mine.

Maybe
Someday
Ours.
